Free help for small businesses

Date: Tuesday 17 May 2011 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Coping with the requirements of health and safety legislation can be a daunting prospect for people running a business especially when they are busy trying to get the business up and running. The message from the Council’s Business Regulation and Support Team is that they are here to help.

Over the next year, the Team’s health and safety officers will be joining forces with the County Council to run a series of advice surgeries for small to medium sized businesses in local business centres. Businesses are invited to drop in at the surgeries for free advice on health and safety issues.

Councillor Neil Philips said: ‘Health and safety rules can seem complex and a burden. In these times of economic stress, we are more determined than ever to ensure that employers are properly supported to help ensure that everyone that goes to work comes home safe and healthy.’

The surgeries will be held from 9:00am til 1:00pm . Feel free to drop in for a chat !
