Bringing £2 million growth to firms
|
A company headed by a Rugby man is pressing ahead with expansion plans thanks to a loan fund, designed to support businesses that has reached the milestone figure of £2 million.
Artificial Grass Solutions has a growing list of clients, which includes pre-school day nurseries, primary schools, high schools and universities.
The firm, which has grown 40% this year and plan to expand their eight-strong workforce to 11 and move into a larger 5,000 sq ft building, has invested £20,000 borrowed from Coventry and Warwickshire Reinvestment Trust in developing a first of its kind multi sport synthetic turf using UV stabilised close tufted polypropylene.
Its main use is in education because it can combine different sports into the one bespoke games area that a primary school might want, typically a four-lane running track and five a side football pitch, marked out also with hockey and netball.
